How to get more Google reviews without breaking the rules

A plain, policy-safe playbook for asking every customer for a review, making it easy to leave one, and hearing about problems privately first.
More Google reviews come from two habits: asking every customer the same way, and making the ask effortless. You do not need tricks, and the tricks that promise a higher rating are exactly what get listings penalized.
Ask every customer, the same way
Google asks businesses not to selectively solicit only positive reviews. The safe and effective approach is to invite everyone with the same message and the same options. Over time, honest volume beats a handful of curated five-star reviews.
Make it a single tap
The fewer steps between the customer and the review box, the more reviews you get. A direct write-a-review link, a QR code on the invoice, and a short text after the job remove the friction.
- Put a QR code on receipts, counter cards and invoices.
- Text a direct link after a completed job, with the customer’s consent.
- Add the link to your email signature and booking confirmations.
Hear about problems privately first
Give every customer a private way to reach you alongside your public review links. You catch service issues early, and customers who want to share publicly still can. That is what Open mode does on a Revivanda feedback page.
